Nuclear Licensing Manager

Based at our Capenhurst site location you’ll be responsible for the ensuring Health, Safety, Security and Environmental standards and frameworks comply with external legal requirements, are accessible and are communicated to the business effectively such that their implementation is clear and unambiguous. Taking the lead in developing policy and standards for compliance with the nuclear site licence and ensure such arrangements are complied with at Capenhurst, i.e. upholding those standards. You are the first point of contact for any licensing advice and provide management oversight of any applications for any replacement licences, new licenses, or license reviews. Note: within this definition is included revisions or new permit applications for environmental compliance. You’ll lead a team who provide specialist advice in respect of some specific licence conditions and more general advice through the provision of Operational Safety Specialists who deliver day to day advice and challenge to operations carried out by each Business Unit on the Capenhurst site. What do you need to be great at this role? Degree or MSc in Engineering or Science or equivalent.
The Job Holder will be expected to hold an emergency role, which may be an on-call roll, and achieve and maintain competency in that role in addition to their normal duties.
