Civil and Structural Engineer

Location:

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work full-time hours, hybrid (2-3 days in the office per week), extensive travel within the UK and overseas

Job Duties:

• Designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects
• Analysing survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects
• Ensuring projects comply with building regulations and health and safety standards
• Managing budgets and project resources
• Inspecting properties to evaluate structural condition
• Collaborating with architects and other professionals
• Providing technical advice and solving complex problems

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Chartered Engineer status
• Experience in structural design and analysis

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in civil and structural engineering

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD and structural design software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Previous experience working on infrastructure projects

Working Conditions:

• Office-based work with site visits as required
• May involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Regular interactions with clients, contractors, and other professionals
• Tight project deadlines may require additional hours
