  • Location: England
  • Salary: £27,841 - £31,915/annum
  • Contract type Contract
  • Consultant: Isabel Morgan-Meade

Morson Talent is presently looking for two Control Centre Support Officers to join a prominent transportation client temporarily with the potential for a permanent position, located on-site in Manchester.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a continuous 24/7 operational response across various modes of transportation. The key tasks involve overseeing the operations of the client's transport network and assets, actively participating in incident and event management, and ensuring a coordinated and efficient organizational response throughout the entire transport network.

The type of character the clinet is looking for is an Individual of a reserved nature, not particularly animated or talkative, possessing resilience to witness unpleasant situations. The role involves a significant focus on CCTV, with a strong emphasis on monitoring and analyzing CCTV footage aswell as Transport maps

Experience Required:

  • Control Room experience – This can be in any kind of busy multi agency control room, so any emergency service, any transport related control room or utility type control room. That should mean they have some experience of call handling/incident management/network monitoring/team working.
  • CCTV – experience and use of CCTV systems ( doesn’t matter which type – we will train them on ours) which means they should know how to use CCTV i.e. what it can and can’t be used for/be familiar with the legal framework around using CCTV i.e. GDPR/Information Governance/processing CCTV downloads.
  • Ideally, some network knowledge of the GM transport/Highways network.
  • They must pass a DBS check as they will be working in a multiagency control room with a police presence and can hear sensitive/confidential information. All the staff in the control room are DBS checked.
  • Ideally would like candidates with SIA - Security Industry Accreditation –  SIA specifically for CCTV, monitoring, capturing people – this is due to them being able to understand the legal framework for CCTV (Ideally we don't want door supervision SIA accreditation/bouncers with SIA as it’s the wrong skills set for this role).
