Site Engineer - M25 Lifecycle Framework

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery across the M25 Lifecycle Framework.

Scope of Works

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a variety of highway maintenance and structural renewal schemes, including:

  • Joint Replacement Works
  • Concrete Repairs
  • Bearing Replacement & Enhanced Maintenance
  • Bridge Deck Waterproofing & Surfacing
  • Painting & Corrosion Protection
  • Ground Stabilisation & Earthworks
  • Barrier Works & Vehicle Restraint System (VRS) Replacement
  • Location & Working Hours


This is a site-based role with projects located across the M25 network. The position will predominantly involve night shifts, however flexibility to work occasional day shifts is essential, particularly during scheme mobilisation, planning activities, and project close-out including H&S file compilation.

Essential Skills & Experience

Candidates should demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:

  • Experience delivering highway or bridge maintenance works listed above
  • Joint replacement experience preferred (APJs, EMR, or Multi-Element joints)
  • Experience working alongside Traffic Management operations
  • Quality management experience including ITPs, ITCs, and H&S documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and report writing skills
  • Forward planning and programme awareness
  • Site risk management experience
  • Competent in compiling and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
  • Good IT and communication skills


Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Previous experience working on the M25 network or similar major highway frameworks
  • Medium Risk Confined Space certification
  • Appointed Person qualification
  • Temporary Works experience (TWC/TWS)
  • Familiarity with Road Space Management processes
  • Understanding of NEC contracts including Early Warnings, Risk Notices, Compensation Events, and Programme Submissions
