CNC Machinist

Morson Talent are recruiting for a skilled CNC machinist (with turning experience) for their Plymouth based client.

 

Experience required for the role:

Programming and operation of CNC multi axis turning centres.

Experience of one or more of the following CNC controls - Siemens and or Mazak.

Ability to work to fine tolerances (imperial & metric measurements) and use appropriate measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers).

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience of working within an engineering environment.

 

Competencies required for the role:

Excellent attitude towards Health & Safety and good working practice.

Be flexible to variable work patterns, have a forward thinking commercial attitude.

Understand and demonstrate the necessity for excellent customer care.

 

Qualifications:

Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent.

NVQ Level 2 applications will be considered with relevant experience within the field.

 

This role is for 6 months initially, with potential for this to be extended for the right candidate.

 

35 hours per week - Variable working patterns with pay enhancement for shift working (18% shift hrs uplift applicable)

Day Shift - 07:30 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday & 07:30 - 12:30 on Friday

Back Shift - 15:00 - 23:00 Monday to Thursday & 12:00 - 17:00 on Friday
