HGV Class 1 Driver (Nights)

Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Coalville. You’ll be undertaking the delivery & collection of product on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customer, providing a first class service, the role also involves shunting. 

*** As this role requires shunting candidates must be willing to be shunt trained***

The Details:

  • Salary: £43,917.12
  • Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday Nights
  • Start Times: Sunday 19:00, Monday-Thursday 15:00-17:00
  • Hours: 50 Hours per week
  • Monthly Pay
  • Parking Onsite

HGV Class 1 Driver Duties:

  • General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice delivering and collection to/from our customer’s premises or other locations.
  • Delivering product on behalf of our client and their customer
  • Use of electronic POD and up to date technology (full training provided)
  • Assisting with loading and unloading
  • Shunting duties every Sunday (full training provided)

HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements:

  • A full UK C+E licence
  • 12 months previous class 1 driving experience preferred
  • Excellent driving skills
  • No more than 6 points on your licence
  • No previous disqualifications
  • Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations
  • Being shunter trained would be preferred
