Choice Teachers are recruiting for a dynamic, qualified Mathematics teacher to join a leading London academy as the 2iC of Mathematics and Key Stage Lead. This leadership role is perfect for an experienced professional who wants to contribute strategically to curriculum development and help raise standards across KS3 to KS5 Mathematics.
About the Role
Working closely with the Head of Department, you will:

Deputise for the Subject Coordinator and assist in leading the core Mathematics department, driving excellence in Mathematics teaching and learning.

Lead curriculum innovation and ensure a broad, balanced, and inclusive Mathematics provision across all key stages.

Take responsibility for student progress and achievement targets in Mathematics, supporting and monitoring outcomes from KS3 through to A-Level Mathematics.

Contribute to staff development, resource management, and embedding whole-school literacy and numeracy strategies with a focus on Mathematics.

Act as an outstanding Mathematics classroom practitioner and role model, maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.

Support and lead initiatives to raise teaching quality in Mathematics and embed assessment for learning strategies.

Fulfil pastoral duties, including being a form tutor for a selected group of students.
This post is not suitable for Early Career Teachers.
What We’re Looking For
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant undergraduate degree in Mathematics or related field.

At least one year’s teaching experience with proven success in raising achievement in Mathematics.

Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5 Mathematics (A-Level experience preferred).

Experience in Mathematics curriculum development and innovation.

Proficient ICT skills and understanding of how technology can enhance Mathematics learning.

Ability to lead, inspire, and develop teaching teams through coaching and collaboration in Mathematics.

A commitment to inclusive education, literacy, numeracy, and whole-school improvement strategies with a focus on Mathematics.
