Drama Teacher – Flexible Agency Role

Location: Schools across Huntingdon, St Neots, St Ives, Cambridge & Peterborough
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible (Day-to-Day and Long-Term)
Start Date: Ongoing – September 2025 onwards
Salary: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS) for long-term placements; competitive daily rates for short-term cover

Are you a passionate Drama Teacher looking for flexibility and variety in your teaching career? Choice Teachers are working with a range of client schools across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough who are seeking Drama specialists for day-to-day supply, as well as longer-term roles.

This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety, want to gain experience across different settings, or are looking for a route into a permanent position.

About the Role

• Deliver engaging Drama lessons to KS3 and KS4 students (KS5 where required)

• Work across a variety of schools — from smaller rural settings to larger secondary schools

• Support client schools with day-to-day cover, short-term placements, and long-term assignments depending on availability

• Bring creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm to the classroom and extracurricular opportunities

• Gain valuable experience and exposure to a variety of teaching environments

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – strong Drama/Performing Arts graduates and instructors without QTS are also welcome to apply

• Have experience teaching Drama in a school setting (placement or post-qualification experience considered)

• Be flexible, adaptable, and confident working in new environments

• Have strong behaviour management and classroom skills

• Be happy to travel between schools — a car is preferable due to some rural locations
