About the Role

• Full-time, permanent position teaching English across KS3 and KS4

• Opportunities to teach at KS5 may be available for the right candidate

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and creative lessons

• Support whole-school literacy initiatives and contribute to enrichment opportunities such as debate clubs, creative writing, and drama links

• Work collaboratively within a dedicated English department and take part in curriculum development

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications from strong unqualified teachers or ECTs will also be considered

• Have a degree in English or a closely related subject

• Be an enthusiastic and reflective classroom practitioner with excellent subject knowledge

• Demonstrate strong classroom management and a commitment to student achievement

• Be adaptable, proactive, and eager to contribute to wider school life
