🏫 The Role

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons to a Year 1 class, aligned with the national curriculum

• Support the transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1, focusing on early phonics, literacy and numeracy

• Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence and curiosity

• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs

• Build positive relationships with parents and contribute to wider school life and development

✔️ You Will Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in Year 1 or Key Stage 1

• A caring, proactive approach and commitment to pupil wellbeing and progress

• Strong phonics knowledge (e.g. Little Wandle or similar schemes)

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
