SEN / SEMH / PRU Teachers – September 2026 Start Choice Teachers are looking to recruit passionate and dedicated teachers to work within SEN Schools, SEMH Schools, PRUs (Pupil Referral Units) and Alternative Provisions across the North West, including Wigan, Bolton, Salford, Warrington and St Helens, in anticipation of the new academic year starting in September 2026. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT), an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge, or someone wanting to transition from mainstream into specialist education, we would love to hear from you. Supply teaching within specialist settings is an excellent way to gain valuable experience, explore different schools, and often leads to permanent opportunities. We are recruiting teachers across all secondary subject specialisms to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
If you teach subjects such as Maths, English, Science, PE, History, Geography, RE, Design Technology, Food Technology, Music, Drama, Health & Social Care, Modern Foreign Languages, Business Studies or ICT, we would love to hear from you. Choice Teachers can offer full-time, part-time, long-term and flexible day-to-day opportunities to suit your lifestyle and career goals. Typical school hours are approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm.
