Choice Teachers are working closely with a number of secondary schools across Bury to recruit confident and reliable Cover Supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher. Your role will include:

• Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

• Delivering lesson plans and resources provided by teaching staff

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Supporting students to remain focused and on task

• Reporting back to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour

What We’re Looking For

• Confidence to lead a classroom and manage behaviour effectively

• Experience working with young people (school, youth work, coaching, care, etc.)

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A flexible, proactive, and professional attitude

• A genuine interest in working within education

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – £53.50)

• Right to work in the UK

• Two professional references
