Choice Teachers are currently working with a highly successful secondary school in Finsbury who are seeking an experienced Exams Officer to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and organised Exams Officer who has strong experience managing school examinations and understands the importance of compliance with JCQ regulations.

The school is an ambitious and inclusive learning community with a strong focus on academic achievement and personal development. The successful Exams Officer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of internal and external examinations across the school.

About the Role – Exams Officer

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of internal and external examinations

• Ensure exams are conducted in line with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements

• Manage exam entries, timetables and seating plans

• Liaise with teaching staff, senior leaders and exam invigilators

• Organise and oversee exam invigilation teams

• Maintain accurate student examination records using SIMS

• Coordinate exam access arrangements in collaboration with the SEN department

• Ensure secure storage and handling of exam materials

• Support students and staff with examination processes and requirements

The Ideal Exams Officer Will:

• Have previous experience working as an Exams Officer in a secondary school

• Have strong knowledge of SIMS

• Have experience managing exam access arrangements

• Have a strong understanding of JCQ regulations and exam procedures

• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Be able to work effectively under pressure during busy exam periods
