Cover Supervisor

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across the Camden area. These opportunities include long-term placements and flexible day-to-day supply, supporting schools by supervising classes during teacher absences.

This role is ideal for a confident Cover Supervisor with strong behaviour management skills who can take control of a classroom, maintain high standards of behaviour, and ensure learning continues in the teacher’s absence.

About the Role

• Working as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools across Camden

• Supervising lessons during short-term and long-term teacher absence

• Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and on task

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with each school’s behaviour policy

• Creating a calm, safe, and productive learning environment

• Taking registers and reporting any issues back to teaching staff

• Supporting students to complete work independently

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working in a secondary school setting (as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar)

• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and classroom presence

• Be confident managing challenging behaviour and maintaining boundaries

• Be calm, consistent, and professional in the classroom

• Be reliable, adaptable, and committed to high standards

• Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service
