Choice Teachers are seeking experienced Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants with CACHE Teaching and Learning qualifications (not Childcare Studies) to work across Primary and Secondary schools in Bradford.

Responsibilities

As a supply Teaching Assistant, you may be required to:

• Support learners in the classroom with learning activities across the curriculum

• Assist with behaviour management using positive, proactive strategies

• Provide 1:1 and small-group intervention support

• Adapt tasks to meet learner needs and SEN requirements

• Help maintain a calm, structured and purposeful learning environment

• Work closely with teachers to deliver effective support throughout the school day

• Model positive behaviour, communication and engagement

Skills & Qualities to Be a Successful Supply TA

Strong supply Teaching Assistants must demonstrate:

• Proven experience working in Primary or Secondary settings (essential)

• Confidence in supporting learning in busy, fast-paced classrooms

• A strong range of teaching support and behaviour management strategies

• Flexibility and adaptability when entering new school environments

• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills

• Ability to follow direction but also use initiative when required

• A positive, proactive and professional attitude at all times

Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 CACHE Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning (not Childcare)

• Previous experience working in schools (essential)

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

• Two references covering the last two years

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional conduct
