Responsibilities

As a Primary Supply Teacher, your duties may include:

  • Delivering engaging and structured lessons to KS1 and/or KS2 pupils

  • Following pre-planned lessons or adapting teaching materials when required

  • Managing classroom expectations and creating a positive learning environment

  • Providing feedback to school staff and maintaining accurate records

  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff

  • Upholding safeguarding standards at all times


Skills and Qualities Needed to be a Successful Supply Teacher

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Recent experience teaching in Primary settings

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

  • References covering the last two years

  • Passion for making a positive impact in children’s learning and development
