Choice Teachers is proud to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in St Albans, seeking a dedicated Engineering Teacher with strong Metalwork expertise to join their team from January. This is an ongoing role with the potential to become long-term or permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can deliver engaging Engineering lessons, with a primary focus on Metalwork. You will be working with well-equipped workshop facilities and a supportive department committed to practical, hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Engineering with a specialist focus on Metalwork across Key Stages 
• Plan and deliver practical workshop sessions that inspire and motivate students
• Ensure a safe and well-managed workshop environment
• Assess, record and report on student progress
• Contribute to the wider department and school community

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant FE/industry teaching qualification
• Strong background in Metalwork – industry or school workshop experience essential
• Experience teaching Engineering or Design & Technology
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
