Choice Teachers are currently recruiting experienced School Administrators and School Receptionists for multiple vacancies across London.

Our London team are receiving regular requirements from Primary, Secondary and SEN schools across the capital, and we are looking to expand our pool of experienced school administration staff available for full-time, long-term and permanent opportunities.

We are particularly interested in School Administrators and Receptionists with previous experience using Bromcom, SIMS or another school management information system (MIS).

Although this advert is listed in London Bridge, we have opportunities arising across North, South, East, West and Central London, so we would like to hear from experienced school administration staff throughout London.

About the Roles

Depending on the school and position, responsibilities may include:

• Working on a busy school reception and acting as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors
• Using Bromcom, SIMS or other school MIS systems to maintain accurate pupil and school records
• Managing telephone calls, emails and general enquiries
• Recording pupil attendance, absences and late arrivals
• Updating student information and maintaining confidential records
• Supporting admissions and general school administration
• Preparing letters, documents, spreadsheets and reports
• Managing appointments, meetings and school communications
• Providing administrative support to teaching and senior leadership teams
• Following school safeguarding and visitor procedures
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have previous school administration or school reception experience
• Have experience using Bromcom, SIMS or another school MIS
• Be confident working in a busy school office environment
• Have strong IT and Microsoft Office skills
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be organised, professional and able to prioritise a busy workload
• Be confident communicating with pupils, parents, staff and external professionals
• Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding within a school
• Be available for typical school office hours of approximately 8:30am – 4:00/5:00pm
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
