Design and Teachnology Teacher – Euston

Choice Teachers are seeking a skilled DT Teacher to join a secondary school in the Euston area. This is a full-time position starting ASAP and running until the end of the academic year. The school is looking for a teacher confident in delivering GCSE Design & Technology, with a focus on Product Design, and the ability to teach KS3 Food Technology.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate DT specialist who can engage students across a varied curriculum and support them in developing practical, creative, and technical skills.

About the Role

As a DT Teacher, you will:

• Teach GCSE DT and KS3–KS5 Product Design

• Deliver KS3 Food Technology (one class, under one term in length)

• Teach a KS3 curriculum focused on woodwork, with introductions to polymers and metals

• Support students in exploring materials, processes, and design principles

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that build confidence and creativity

• Contribute to the wider DT department and collaborate with colleagues

• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all workshop protocols

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Be a qualified DT Teacher (QTS or equivalent)

• Have strong subject knowledge across woodwork, materials, and Product Design

• Be confident teaching KS3 Food Technology

• Have experience delivering DT at GCSE level

• Be passionate about hands-on learning and creative problem-solving

• Have excellent behaviour management and communication skills

• Be available for a full-time role until the end of the academic year
