Choice Teachers are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and welcoming school in Whitechapel. We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in intimate care and manual handling to join their team as soon as possible.

About the Role

This position involves supporting students with a variety of additional needs, providing both educational and personal care support. You will work closely with teaching staff and other support professionals to help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Carrying out intimate care tasks with dignity, respect and sensitivity
• Completing manual handling duties, following all safety and training guidelines
• Assisting pupils with mobility and personal care needs
• Supporting the delivery of individual learning plans
• Helping maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
• Collaborating with teachers and support staff to meet pupil needs

Requirements

• Experience with intimate care (essential)
• Manual handling experience or training (essential)
• Previous experience working with SEND pupils
• Patient, supportive and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Eligible to work in the UK
