About the Role:

Teach English Language and Literature across KS3–KS4 (with KS5 available for the right candidate).

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to a range of abilities.

Mark and assess student work, providing clear and supportive feedback.

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.

Support pupils’ personal growth and academic progress through form tutoring and pastoral responsibilities.

Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.
Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.

Degree in English or a related subject.

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English literature and language.

Ability to inspire and engage students of all backgrounds and abilities.

Excellent classroom management skills.

Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
