Payroll Administrator – Watford

Agency: Choice Teachers (Member of the GCA Framework) Contract: ASAP – December

Pay Rate: £120 – £170 per day Location: Watford Hours: Full-time (9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with flexible options available)

The Role

Choice Teachers, a recruitment agency fully accredited by the GCA framework, is currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to support a busy educational institution in Watford. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, ensuring compliance and high standards of administrative accuracy throughout the contract period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing end-to-end payroll for a diverse staff base.

  • Ensuring data integrity and maintaining confidential employee records.

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll queries.

  • Assisting with statutory reporting and compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a dedicated Payroll Administrator role.

  • Strong numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines.

  • Preferred: Prior experience with iTrent payroll software.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of the Teachers’ Pensions scheme.

  • Vetting: Candidates must be willing to undergo full safeguarding checks, including an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
