SEN Teaching Assistant – Permanent (School-Based Role, Peterborough)
The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Support pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
- Assist with delivery of tailored learning programmes
- Manage and support challenging behaviour
- Promote emotional regulation and social development
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals
Requirements
- Essential:
- Experience in a similar role (school, SEN, care, or youth work)
- Desirable:
- Previous experience in an SEN school setting
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or higher)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Patient, consistent, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
