Inclusion & Learning Support Assistants Wanted | Full-Time & Part-Time | Hertfordshire

We are recruiting passionate and dedicated Inclusion Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to join a highly regarded further education provider in Hertfordshire — rated Good by Ofsted with Outstanding features.

About the Role

You will work as part of a specialist support team, helping students with diverse needs — including disabilities, learning differences, neurodiversity, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges — to reach their full potential and become confident, independent learners.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering tailored support strategies in line with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Assisting teaching staff with adapted learning materials and specialist assistive technology
• Providing 1:1 and small group support with study skills and pastoral needs
• Supporting students with work experience opportunities, including interview coaching
• Assisting with personal care, mobility and medication where required
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to EHCP annual reviews
• Upholding policies around safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety

What We're Looking For

Essential:
• Experience working with vulnerable young people with SEND — this is a mandatory requirement
• A solid understanding of neurodiversity and SEMH needs
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes and independence for young people
• Level 2 qualification in learning support or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A flexible, positive, and solution-focused approach
