SEN Teacher – QTS Required

Location: Peterborough (school located on the outskirts)
Salary: £31,000 – £39,000 (depending on experience)
We are currently recruiting for a qualified SEN Teacher to join a supportive specialist setting in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential. The school offers a structured and nurturing learning environment for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, delivering a personalised curriculum that supports both academic progress and social development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

  • Support pupils with a range of SEND, adapting teaching strategies as required

  • Work closely with support staff and external SEN professionals to deliver tailored provision

  • Monitor student progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews

  • Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience working with SEND pupils is highly desirable

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is strongly preferred due to the school’s location
