Choice Teachers, a well-established education recruitment agency with over 15 years of experience working alongside schools across the North West, is recruiting a passionate and experienced Drama Teacher on behalf of a secondary school in Bolton.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position starting in September, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role following the temporary contract. The school seeks a dedicated Drama specialist who can confidently deliver, mark, and assess all aspects of the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Drama curriculum. A strong emphasis is placed on engagement with practical lessons and student participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and inspirational teaching methods.

  • Maintain strong behaviour and classroom management in accordance with school policies.

  • Assess student progress accurately and provide effective feedback.

  • Encourage creativity and active participation in both practical and theory-based lessons.

  • Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • A recognised UK teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or QTLS).

  • A good honours degree in Drama or Performing Arts (essential).

  • Recent experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4 level.

  • A valid DBS certificate on the update service.

  • A minimum of two years of professional references.

  • The right to work in the UK.
