About the Role: 
Choice Teachers is excited to announce an opportunity for dedicated individuals to join our team as a Cover Supervisor in the South West London area, specifically around Wandsworth, Wimbledon and Merton. This is an ideal role for individuals who possess a confident attitude and a passion for education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will have the chance to support students and facilitate their learning in the absence of a regular teacher. You will be responsible for overseeing lessons, keeping students engaged, and ensuring that work is completed to a high standard. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and deliver lesson materials in the absence of the teacher. 

  • Ensure students stay on task and remain engaged in their work throughout the lesson. 

  • Provide assistance and support to students as needed during lessons. 

  • Foster a positive and productive learning environment. 

  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a focused and respectful atmosphere. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in a classroom setting or managing groups of students. 

  • A strong understanding of classroom dynamics and how students learn. 

  • Brilliant behaviour management skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting students and contributing to their educational journey. 

  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive environment, especially for students with additional learning needs. 

  • An enhanced DBS certificate. 

  • Full employment check.
