Choice Teachers are currently working with a secondary school in Harrow who are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Female PE Teacher to join their department immediately on a full-time basis.

The school is looking for a strong PE Teacher / Physical Education Teacher who can take responsibility for a full PE timetable, deliver engaging practical lessons and maintain high expectations for behaviour and participation.

This is a long-term temporary position running until at least Christmas 2026, with the potential to continue beyond this.

An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential for this position.

About the Female PE Teacher Role

• Full-time PE Teacher position
• Immediate start
• Teach Physical Education across the secondary age range
• Deliver practical PE lessons across a range of sports and activities
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons
• Monitor and assess student progress
• Encourage participation and positive attitudes towards physical activity
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management
• Ensure a safe and positive environment during practical lessons
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department
• Take responsibility for classes independently
• Temporary position until at least Christmas, with potential to continue longer

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience teaching PE / Physical Education at secondary level
• Have strong knowledge of a range of sports and physical activities
• Be confident delivering practical PE lessons
• Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be energetic, enthusiastic and able to engage secondary-aged students
• Be confident taking responsibility for a full timetable
• Hold QTS or have strong relevant secondary teaching experience
• Be available to start immediately
• Be reliable and committed to the placement
• Have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service – essential
