Choice Teachers are looking to assist a good school in Skelmersdale (West Lancs) who are in need of a Science Technician to start in the new academic year in Sept 2026. The role will involve assisting the teachers in the Science department setting up experiments and potentially assisting them in class. You may be required to cover some Science classes should a teacher in the department not be able to take the class.

The suitable candidate MUST have at least a degree in Science, and a specialism in either Chemistry, Biology or Physics but also a good understanding in the others too. If you have experience in a Science lab or as a Science Technician in a school, this would be preferred however not essential. 

The role is a temporary, supply role through Choice Teachers, it is unlikely the role would become permanent and there is currently no confirmation on when the role will end. It will be at least til January.

Requirements:

• DBS Certificate on the update service or be able to apply for one
• MUST have a degree or equivalent in Science
• Two professional references
• Right to work in the UK.
