Cover Supervisor – Agency-Based (Bolton)

Choice Teachers is seeking passionate and dedicated Cover Supervisors for day-to-day roles at reputable secondary schools in the Bolton area, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for those studying for a PGCE or looking to gain classroom experience without formal teaching qualifications!

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

• Ensure students remain engaged, focused, and on-task during lessons.

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following the school’s policies.

• Provide support to students, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

• Follow school policies and procedures, reporting any concerns to senior staff.

• Assist in administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and distributing materials.

• Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

• A passion for education and supporting young people.

• Previous experience working with children or young adults (desirable but not essential).

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different school environments.

• A degree or relevant qualifications (desirable but not required).

• An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
