The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in creating a positive learning environment and helping students reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging classroom lessons.
  • Working one-to-one and with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning.
  • Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs where required.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and helping maintain a productive classroom environment.
  • Preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom activities.
  • Building positive relationships with students and school staff.

Who we're looking for

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working with children or young people in any setting.
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence working within a secondary school environment.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students academically and personally.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to provide satisfactory employment and/or education references.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
