Choice Teachers are currently partnering with a high-quality nursery in the Great Ashby area of Stevenage to recruit a dedicated and experienced Room Leader.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior practitioner or an aspiring leader to take charge of a room and shape the learning journey of young children. While the nursery is keen to have someone in post as soon as possible, they are committed to finding the right fit and will wait for a candidate currently serving a notice period.

The Role

• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a room-based team, fostering a collaborative and professional atmosphere.

• Curriculum Delivery: Oversee the planning of engaging, EYFS-aligned activities that promote holistic development.

• Safeguarding: Maintain a rigorous standard of safety and wellbeing, acting as a role model for best practices.

• Parent Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for families, ensuring a smooth flow of communication regarding their child’s progress.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification (NNEB, CACHE, or equivalent).

• Strong working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and safeguarding procedures.

• Previous experience in a senior or leadership capacity within a nursery setting is highly desirable.

• A proactive, organised approach with a passion for driving educational standards.
