The Role

Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons for a Year 2 class, aligned with the National Curriculum

Support the transition from EYFS to Key Stage 2, with a focus on early phonics, literacy, and numeracy

Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and confidence

Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs

Build positive relationships with parents and contribute to wider school life and development
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1

Strong phonics knowledge (e.g., Little Wandle or similar schemes)

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

A caring, proactive approach with commitment to pupil wellbeing and progress

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
