Salary: Competitive rates (£85 – £95 per day, inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)

Job Description

Choice Teachers are working with a number of secondary schools across Sheffield who are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants.

This is an excellent opportunity for caring, patient and resilient individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

We can offer flexible placements to suit your lifestyle, whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or daily supply work.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs.

• Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities.

• Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in the classroom.

• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.

• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or transferable).

• A genuine interest in supporting pupils with special educational needs.

• Strong communication, patience, and adaptability skills.

• A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

• Two professional references.

• Right to work in the UK.
