Job Description

Choice Teachers are working with several secondary schools across Bradford who are looking to recruit a Science Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong science knowledge and practical skills who enjoys supporting students and staff in a school laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and maintain laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons.

• Support teachers and students during practical experiments.

• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.

• Safely store, label, and dispose of chemicals and equipment.

• Maintain accurate stock records and order resources when required.

• Assist with general administration within the Science department.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school or lab environment (preferred but not essential).

• Strong background in science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

• Knowledge of health & safety procedures in a laboratory setting.

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

• A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

• Two professional references.

• Right to work in the UK.
