Are you a versatile educator who thrives in a specialist setting? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join a growing school that supports students across both Primary and Secondary phases.

This role is ideal for a Primary-trained teacher who enjoys the variety of an all-through setting, or a Secondary teacher with a holistic approach to student development.

Flexible Working

While we are primarily seeking a full-time member of staff, we are happy to consider applications from those seeking a part-time 0.6 timetable (3 days per week).

The Role

As the school expands, we are looking for a teacher capable of delivering a breadth of subjects across different age groups. You will be working within a specialist environment designed for students with diverse learning needs, including SEMH and autism.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cross-Phase Teaching: Delivering engaging lessons across both Primary and Secondary levels, tailoring your approach to meet the developmental stage of each student.

• Curriculum Breadth: Teaching a variety of subjects rather than a single specialism, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.

• Specialist Support: Implementing strategies to support students with SEMH needs and autism, fostering both their academic and personal growth.

• Classroom Management: Planning, marking, and completing annual reports while maintaining a structured and supportive classroom environment.

Support for QTS

We are looking for the right person and the right experience. If you are an experienced teacher currently working without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), the school is open to discussing how they can support you in gaining this qualification through an assessment-only or work-based route.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience teaching in a Primary or Secondary setting. Experience within a specialist provision is highly advantageous.

• Versatility: The ability to adapt your teaching style for different age groups and a wide range of subjects.

• SEND Expertise: A strong understanding of SEMH and autism, with the patience and resilience to support students with complex needs.

• Communication: Excellent skills in building rapport with students and maintaining professional links with parents and carers.

• A relevant degree and experience leading a classroom and managing student progress.

• A commitment to inclusive education and a desire to grow within an expanding school.

• An up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
