Location: Schools in Huntingdon, St Neots, St Ives, Cambridge & Peterborough
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible (Day-to-Day and Long-Term)
Start Date: Ongoing – September 2025 onwards
Salary: Competitive daily rates, with potential to progress into paid-to-scale roles for longer-term placements

Are you a recent graduate or Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to take your first step into the classroom? Choice Teachers are seeking enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to support our partner schools across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

This role is ideal for those looking to gain classroom experience, build confidence, and develop skills ahead of a future in teaching — or for those who want to explore different schools before committing to a permanent post.

About the Role

• Supervise classes across a variety of subjects when teachers are absent

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson material, ensuring students stay on task and engaged

• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment

• Work across a range of client schools, from rural villages to larger secondary schools

• Build experience, resilience, and transferable skills for a teaching career

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Be a recent graduate, an ECT, or someone considering a career in education

• Have confidence speaking to groups of young people and managing classroom behaviour

• Be adaptable, flexible, and eager to learn in different school settings

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Be able to travel between schools (a car is preferable for countryside schools)
