A well-regarded secondary school in Huntingdon is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their humanities department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a school that values both academic rigour and creativity in the classroom.


About the Role

  • Teach History to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

  • Full-time, permanent position

  • Play a key role in the development of engaging, relevant, and inclusive history curricula

  • Support wider school life through enrichment activities and cross-curricular projects


The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have experience teaching History in a secondary school or similar setting

  • Hold a degree in History or a closely related subject

  • QTS is preferred but not essential – experienced unqualified teachers with strong classroom skills are welcome to apply

  • Be confident in classroom management and passionate about making history accessible and engaging

  • Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service
