About the Role:

As a Music Lecturer, you’ll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a broad spectrum of music-related subjects, tailored to students with diverse backgrounds and aspirations. Whether your expertise lies in performance, composition, music theory, technology, or music history, we welcome your voice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess modules in [Performance / Composition / Music Theory / Music History / Music Technology / etc.]

  • Develop and deliver innovative course content

  • Supervise student projects and performances

  • Support students in both academic and creative development

  • Contribute to curriculum design, departmental planning, and potential research output

What You’ll Bring:

  • A degree in Music or a closely related field (Master’s or Doctorate preferred)

  • Teaching or lecturing experience in further or higher education

  • A strong background in your area of musical expertise (performance, composition, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A passion for education, creativity, and student success

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with digital audio workstations (DAWs) or music production

  • Industry connections or experience in the professional music world

  • Ability to teach across genres (classical, contemporary, jazz, etc.)
