Choice Teachers are working with an alternative provision in North London to recruit a Food Technology Teacher with experience in Cooking and Nutrition. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a real impact, supporting pupils in a smaller setting. The role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.
About the Role:
- Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 in a practical and inclusive environment.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons with a strong focus on life skills and nutritional education.
- Promoting safe working practices and maintaining a well-organised classroom.
- Working closely with a small, supportive team to tailor teaching for students with additional needs.
- Monitoring progress and contributing to individual learning plans.
- Creating opportunities for cross-curricular links and real-world learning experiences.
- Playing an active role in the pastoral care of students as part of a holistic learning approach.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS
- Have experience teaching Cooking and Nutrition, ideally in a mainstream or alternative provision setting.
- Be calm, adaptable, and confident working with students who require a personalised approach.
- Have good classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Be committed to making learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.
