English Teacher – Rochdale

Full-time | Start after October half term | Until Christmas 2026
Pay to scale from day one – M1–M6, subject to experience and agreement with the school

Choice Teachers are recruiting an English Teacher for a well-regarded secondary school in Rochdale.

You will join a supportive English department in a full-time, long-term role starting after October half term and continuing until Christmas 2026, with the possibility of an extension.

The Role

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils of different abilities

• Assess and monitor progress, providing constructive feedback

• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom with clear behaviour expectations

• Work closely with colleagues to support pupil achievement

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Enthusiasm for English and a commitment to helping pupils succeed
