We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Lecturer to join our college in St Albans on a full-time interim basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced science teacher or lecturer to join the college immediately and make a positive impact on students while we recruit for a permanent position. There may also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to secure the role on a permanent basis.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience teaching at least one science subject at College/A Level standard, such as Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring and supporting students.
  • Experience planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to helping students achieve their academic and personal potential.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive teaching team.

Experience teaching two or more science subjects at College/A Level would be a significant advantage, although candidates with strong experience in one science discipline are encouraged to apply.

The opportunity

This is a full-time interim position available for an immediate start, making it ideal for a Science Lecturer or experienced science teacher who is available at short notice.

The initial appointment will continue until a permanent member of staff is recruited. Depending on circumstances and performance, there may be the opportunity for the interim appointment to become permanent.
