About the Roles
We are currently recruiting for a variety of rewarding school support positions across Crewe and the surrounding areas. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within secondary schools while working in a flexible and supportive environment.
Due to the nature of supply work, candidates must be willing to travel to schools in Crewe and nearby locations.
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for the following roles:
Teaching Assistants
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students to ensure a productive and engaging learning experience. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting teachers in delivering well-structured, engaging lessons across a range of subjects
• Assisting pupils within the classroom, helping them to stay focused and make progress
• Providing targeted support to small groups or individual students, including those with additional learning needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Helping to prepare learning materials and classroom resources where required
Cover Supervisors
Cover Supervisors are responsible for maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher. This is a great opportunity for those considering a future in teaching. Duties include:
• Supervising pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students with the completion of work set by teaching staff
• Responding to general classroom queries and ensuring a positive learning environment
• Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
School Office / Reception Support
Working as part of the school’s administrative team, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school. Responsibilities include:
• Providing administrative support within the school office
• Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external stakeholders
• Handling telephone and email enquiries in a professional manner
• Supporting attendance, data entry, and general office duties
• Assisting with the coordination of school activities and daily operations

• Are willing and able to travel locally between schools as required

• Have experience working with children, young people, or within administrative/support roles
• Are adaptable, reliable, and enthusiastic about contributing to education
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (highly desirable)
Requirements
• A valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A-Level qualifications or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
• Relevant experience working with children, young people, or in an office/support role
• Two professional references
