A-Level Maths Tutor – 1 Year Contract

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable A-Level Maths Tutor to work with a learner on a 1-year programme in preparation for the Spring 2026 examinations. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in a student’s academic journey.

About the Role

• Deliver 6 hours of tailored A-Level Maths tuition per week over the academic year

• Prepare the learner thoroughly for their A-Level exams in Spring 2026

• Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in line with the AQA/Edexcel/OCR syllabus (final specification to be confirmed)

• Provide regular feedback and track progress throughout the year

• Work closely with the council’s education contact to ensure the tuition meets agreed goals

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a relevant degree or teaching qualification in Mathematics

• Have proven experience teaching or tutoring A-Level Maths

• Be confident working 1:1 and adapting teaching styles to meet individual needs

• Be patient, encouraging, and committed to helping the learner achieve their full potential

• Have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or be willing to apply)
