General Cover / Supply Teacher – Peterborough

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Start Date: Immediate & Ongoing
Contract: Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Supply
Salary: £130–£180 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are working with a number of supportive secondary and primary schools in Peterborough who are seeking confident and flexible General Cover / Supply Teachers. This role is perfect for teachers who enjoy variety, flexible working, and the opportunity to work across different schools and year groups.

You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining classroom behaviour, and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively

• Ensure students remain on task and engaged

• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

• Provide feedback to departments or cover managers as required

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) preferred

• Strong classroom management skills

• Confident teaching across KS1–KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

• Adaptable, reliable and professional

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
