Choice Teachers are working with a fabulous Primary School in Wigan to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in their Year 5 class - starting in January up until the end of the academic year.  You will have sound knowledge of upper KS2 curriculum and have good behaviour management skills.  You will need to arrive at school by 08:30 and the finish time is 15:15 (though you may be expected to help prepare for the following day)

You will need to be someone who can nurture and engage with children to help give them the best chance academically for their final stages of primary school life.

You will need to have experience in working with children of this age group and you must be self-motivated and have a "can do" attitude.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a committed, adaptable and caring professional, passionate about delivering high quality support and providing an inspirational approach to learning
• Can demonstrate the creativity, resilience and interpersonal skills to complement our highly effective team
• Is an effective team player and willing to be fully involved in the life of the school.
• Having a Paediatric First Aid qualification would be an advantage

The successful candidate must have:

• DBS Certificate on the update service or we can arrange to process one for you
• A CV covering all dates - including any gaps in work history
• Proof of right to work in the UK
• 2 professional references
• Has qualification passes in English and Maths or equivalent
• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
