Salary: MPS/UPS + potential TLR for Head of Drama (depending on experience)

Choice Teachers is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school for a Head of Drama or experienced Teacher of Drama to join their creative arts faculty this September.

About the Role:
This role offers the opportunity to lead or contribute to a thriving Drama department, delivering inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for the performing arts and a desire to nurture student talent both in the classroom and through extracurricular productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Drama lessons that encourage creativity and confidence.

  • Plan schemes of work and contribute to curriculum development.

  • (If Head of Drama) Lead the Drama department, including performance planning and supporting team members.

  • Organise and direct school productions, workshops, and trips.

  • Assess and monitor student progress effectively.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching Drama at secondary level.

  • Passionate about the performing arts and encouraging student participation.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Proven ability to lead or support school performances and events.

  • A team player with a commitment to wider school life and enrichment.
