Your Role as a Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You’ll deliver pre-set lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and support students’ learning and well-being.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising classes across various subjects in the absence of a teacher.

• Ensuring that students stay on task with the work provided.

• Managing classroom behavior effectively and fostering a positive learning environment.

• Supporting the wider school community as required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle to travel between schools.

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a classroom confidently.

• A flexible and proactive attitude to adapt to different school environments.

Desirable Qualities:

• Experience working with young people, e.g., in education, youth work, or similar.

• A passion for supporting students to achieve their best.

• A degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential.
