Salary: £26,825 - £28,629 per annum (APT&C Scale 6)
Hours: 37 hours per week (Full Year Contract)

Are you passionate about building relationships, inspiring young people, and shaping their future educational paths? A leading further education provider is seeking a dynamic School Liaison & Marketing Officer to join their Marketing and Schools Liaison team.


About the Role

As a School Liaison & Marketing Officer, you’ll play a key role in promoting educational opportunities and engaging with local schools, sixth forms, and colleges. You’ll deliver impactful events and activities to connect students with a broad range of courses and services.

This position involves regular travel across two campuses, as well as to schools and community venues. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, alongside a willingness to attend evening and weekend events.


Key Responsibilities

School Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools, sixth forms, and partner organisations.

  • Represent the organisation at careers fairs, assemblies, and post-16 information evenings.

  • Develop tailored communications to promote educational offerings and support services.

Event Coordination

  • Organise and attend engagement events such as open days, taster sessions, and exhibitions.

  • Collaborate with marketing and curriculum teams to create engaging activities for prospective students.

  • Support the wider team with community and campus-based events.

Marketing & Communication

  • Create promotional materials for schools, including presentations, emails, and social media campaigns.

  • Promote activities through digital platforms while adhering to GDPR guidelines.

  • Capture case studies to enhance marketing materials.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain records of events and activities.

  • Conduct surveys and gather feedback to improve engagement strategies.

  • Support event planning, data entry, and reporting for the marketing team.


About You

Essential Attributes

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

  • Experience in event coordination and working with students or young people.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of marketing practices.

  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience working in a careers or educational setting.

  • Knowledge of the education system and student support services.

  • Skills in video editing, copywriting, and proofreading.
