English Teacher – Maternity Cover
Start Date: January
Location: Mill Hill, North London

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English to join our successful English department on a maternity cover basis, starting January.

The successful candidate will be a passionate practitioner with the ability to inspire students across the age and ability range. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative team within a school that values high-quality teaching, professional development, and student achievement.

The role:

• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons

• Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress

• Contributing positively to the wider life of the department and school

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS (or be working towards it)

• Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for English

• Demonstrate effective classroom management and high expectations

• Be reflective, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
